Focusing on spinal protection
Stopping major bleeding
Maintaining airway, breathing, and circulation
Continuously monitoring vital signs and consciousness 

Immediate priority is given to airway control and to maintenance of ventilation, oxygenation, and perfusion. Cervical spine protection is crucial during airway assessment and manipulation.
