What is Series (Non-Verbal)?
One of the most important, if not the most, section of non – verbal reasoning, non verbal series problems are based on different images, symbols, signs, shapes. These are represented in a square box. The problems are based upon continuation of figures.

In order to solve these questions, you should have a clear vision of different movement of a block(figure) around a fixed point is known as rotation. The simplest example of rotation is the movement of hour and minute hands of the clock. When a body rotates in the direction of the hands of the clock, the movement is known as clockwise movement and when a body rotates in the opposite direction of the hands of the clock, the movement is known as anti clockwise movement.

There are either five-figure series or four or incorrect or missing figure.

You have to find the changes and according with that answer the actual figure from the given answer figure.  This type of problems on series consist of five figures. Which numbered as A,B, C, D and E as problem set followed by five figure as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 forming the answer set.

Directions: Each of the following questions consists of five figures marked A, B, C, D and E called the problem figures followed by five other figures marked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 called the answer figures. Select a figure from amongst the answer figure which will continue the same series as established by the five problem figures.

Answer Figure:
Series

Solution:

Series The figure rotates sequentially 2, 1, 3 , 1, 4…. step in a CW (Clock wise) direction.

Example 2

Problem Figure:
Series

Answer Figure:
Series

Solution:

Series The symbol along with line lie rotate 90o ACW (Anti clock wise) direction in each step, and the symbol interchange position in one step and are replaced by new symbol in the new step.

Example 3

Problem Figure:
Series

Answer Figure:
Series

Solution:

Series The shading rotates through two and three steps alternatively in CW (Clock wise) direction.

Example 4

Problem Figure:
Series

Answer Figure:
Series

Solution:

Series The cross line moves ACW 90o and 45o alternatively and the pin arrow moves CW 90o and 45o alternatively.
