Manager
Provides an artist with overall career direction and guidance.

They will coordinate all the team members who play a role in the artist's development.

They will negotiate record deals, publishing deals, find an appropriate agent, publicist, accountant, and other team members as the artist grows.

Road or Tour Manager
Takes care of all the travel and accommodation details prior to and during the tour.

They advance each tour date, make sure the artist arrives at each date in optimum condition to fulfill their contracted duties.

Production Manager:
Takes care of all the production details prior to and during the tour.

They advance each tour date with the promoter or venue directly to ensure that all production elements are in place and that the venue is ready for their arrival.

Agent
Representative for the artist who makes the artist available for performance dates.

The agent negotiates the fees, contracts the dates and coordinates tours

Promoter
The person/company who books talent into multiple venues paying rent at each.

Promoters may also restrict their booking to one specific venue whether or not they own the venue.

Promoters are generally marketplace experts and have relationships with agents and venues within a specific marketplace.

Booker/Purchaser
The person within the promoter organization or venue responsible for negotiating the deal with the agent and with the venue and booking the artist and/or venue.

Promoter Rep
The person within the promoter organization responsible for advancing the show with the artist representative and the venue on all operational/production related matters.

Venue
Any place where a live performance may take place.

Ticket Distributor
Sells and distributes tickets to a performance. Fees collected from ticket buyer.
